The Austin twins, Vincent and Alex, are born into a war. The horrors of which are everywhere. From their mother being attacked before they are born, to soldiers raiding their home in the night. However, this is no ordinary war. This is a secret war between Andra Hudson's militarised vampire hunters (Special Operations Vampire Elimination Unit) and Ruhsarr's multi-factioned army of ferocious vampires. It's a war that has raged for millennia, and now it seems the vampires could win.
With the help of Andra and the S.O.V.E.U. the twins search for a weapon that could turn the tides of the war.
This is not a story of a chosen one, only victims of circumstance. It explores the way the characters interact and, through their experiences, discover they are connected by Blood and Purpose.

Meet the author
Paul J. Kearns and author of horror and dark fantasy.
He and his wife, Carrie, live in the Northwest fo England with their two children.
He works a full time job as a dental technicain.
He loves all forms of horror, action/adventure and sci fi. In all forms of media, from books to TV boxsets to video games. He doesn't just write what he knows. He writes what he loves.
When he was young he would write short stories to improve his writing skills. The more he wrote the better his stories became.
He caught the writing bug and has continued to write stories into his adult life.

'Beasts of Immortality: Blood and Purpose' is the first novel in the Beasts of Immortality series. It follows the Austin family and the S.O.V.E.U. as they fight for their lives against a militarised race of vampires.
'The Hunted and other Twisted Tales.' Which can be seen above is Paul's debut book.
The titular story, The Hunted, tells of two young vampires caught in a mortal battle with an ancient werewolf. They will have to use all their abilities to try and outsmart an enemy who is far superior in every aspect.
Within the other pages of the book you will find six more short stories crossing the genres of horror, action, and dark fantasy.
They have a running theme of supernatural transformation and supernatural beings beyond the realm of human understanding.
Reader beware, with elements of gore and dark humour these stories are not intended for the faint of heart.

His Novella, 'Special Operations Vampire Elimination Unit', is the accompanying book to the forthcoming Novel 'Beasts of Immortality'
It gives insight into the backstory of some of the characters.
Synopsis:
Andra Hudson is taking on new recruits into her military outfit, S.O.V.E.U. (Special Operations Vampire Elimination Unit).
To be considered for entry into the unit the recruits must go through a rigorous three day assessment.
This book documents the final Interview stage of that assesment.
In these interviews the recruits relay the horrors they have witnessed. Horrors that have opened their eyes to a vampire race. It is these vampires the S.O.V.E.U. struggles to defend the human race from on a daily basis.
